Westmorland and Furness Council has launched a Call for Sites consultation. This is an important opportunity for landowners and developers to tell the Council about sites which may have the potential for development.

The new Council which came into being in April 2023 is working on a new Local Plan for Westmorland and Furness.

Both housing and employment sites are to be considered as part of the Westmorland and Furness Call for Sites sites, this can include:

• Specialist housing;

• Nursing and care homes;

• Offices;

• Research and development;

• Light industry and general industry;

• Storage and distribution

• A mix of uses listed above.
