The latest Hertsmere Call for Sites has closed. Landowners can still prepare a promotion strategy and supporting evidence for future stages of the Local Plan process.
In December 2024, the Government published a revised NPPF which has increased Hertsmere's housing targets by 43%. As a result of this significant increase, the Council sought additional housing and employment land, including land for gypsy and traveller provision and renewable and low carbon energy schemes.
Sites submitted to the Hertsmere Call for Sites will be considered as part of the review of their Local Plan. If successful, your site could be allocated as part of the emerging plan.
